At its meeting held on October 29, 2012 the National Corporate Governance Commission has elected Prof. Stefan Petranov, Ph.D as a new Chairman, who shall stand at the head of the commission for the next one year mandate, taking the post of the present Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Manyu Moravenov, Ph.D., whose mandate has expired.
Prof. Stefan Petranov, Ph.D has been a member of the National Corporate Governance Commission (under the aegis of the FSC and BSE-Sofia) since its foundation. He is a Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zlaten Lev Capital - the first Bulgarian management company licensed by the Financial Supervision Commission. He holds a PhD degree in economics and is a professor in the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. He is a member of the BNB's Advisory Board and has also been a Chairman of the Bulgarian Macroeconomics Association for two mandates.
