CGIX – the Corporate Governance IndeX – is Being Relaunched
Effective June 23, 2025, the calculation of the Corporate Governance Index (CGIX) will be resumed.
The CGIX is an index comprising the seven companies with the best corporate governance admitted to trading on the Exchange, based on the market capitalization of the included issues of ordinary shares, adjusted for the free-float of each.

At a second meeting held on June 6, 2024, the Bulgarian Corporate Governance Code was reaffirmed to align with OECD principles focused on sustainability and stability. The event, hosted at the Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria, included participants from the Financial Supervision Commission, the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, and companies from various BSE segments. Key speakers included top financial and governance officials, emphasizing Bulgaria’s commitment to international standards.

The Bulgarian Corporate Governance Code is in line with OECD principles
The Bulgarian Corporate Governance Code aligns with OECD principles, emphasizing sustainability, digital security, and climate protection. At a recent meeting with key financial and regulatory figures, it was confirmed that Bulgarian legislation strongly reflects OECD standards. Officials highlighted the Code's role in promoting transparency, accountability, and trust, positioning Bulgaria for OECD accession. The Financial Supervision Commission and the National Corporate Governance Commission presented findings from a monitoring report (2021–2023) on 214 public companies, showing positive trends in governance quality. A follow-up meeting is scheduled for June 6 to discuss further updates.
